Tuesday (Eat This)

After a LONG day at work (it was the release date of: Britney Spears, the Extended LOTR, Blink 182 and plenty of other stuff). I picked up "Gypsy" with Bernadette Peters and "At Last" by Cyndi Lauper (I wasn't all that keen on her cover of "At Last" (but, hey, the original by Etta James is perfection), but I liked a LOT of the rest of the album. "Don't Let Me Be Understood" (done in the style of a standard, and actually sounding like the way Tori Amos might record this song) is the standout in my opinion.

Paul and I headed out to Shawn's house from where we were going to be going to a surprise destination near Shawn's house for this month's "hat" pick. The gals and Shawn all liked the gifts (I forgot to mention that I'd gotten some orange Smarties and a Kit Kat orange for Andrea and some Coffee Crisp bars (regular, mocha and french vanilla) for Chris).

We all piled into Shawn's big truck (minus Chris who couldn't make it) and ended up at "Nifty Fifties", a burger/hot dog/fries and ice cream joint similar to "General Custard's" here in Vineland. I had a cheese dog, a cheeseburger, peach/pineapple soda (they had those great soda fountain flavor mixes that allow for fun combos and this has always been my favorite from the General's), and a "Strawberry Banana Split" milkshake (which was out of this world). All the milkshakes and fries and onion rings were just wonderful.

We also got paper hats to color (at least me, Dawn and Kim did), Kim got a bunch of Spongebob toys out of the coin dispenser thingee...(she kept trying for a Spongebob and kept getting Sandy, Squidward and Patrick). She also got me a mini whoopie-cushion.
When we got back to Shawn's, we all piled into the den and Shawn finally brought in the tape that Paul had made for them all a while back and we watched a few episodes of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" (which I grudgingly admit is funny...but not nearly as funny as Paul and R.J. find it).

I'm not. It's just that I'm not a fan. I've found single episodes worth watching...once. However, I don't really want to watch this particular show OVER and OVER. I'm also not really a person who laughs out loud while watching something unless it's extremely funny (I may chuckle or even sometimes just smile). They laugh and cackle through the ENTIRE program and I just don't get it.

I think its the obsurdity that is what is funny...

there is only a few of those i can watch repeatedly and that is the one with the Moonites...they look like Atari villians pasted on top of the cartoon..it's rather hilarious...and i can't get enough of it heheh

but most the time i am just.. eh, with animation.. but that's me..
