We just got done watching one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while: Idiocracy. From writers Mike Judge (creator of "Beavis and Butthead") and Etan Cohen, this is a look at a far future populated by the descendants of the White Trash/Redneck/Trailer Park/Ghetto/Wal-Mart Shopping/Beer Guzzling/Fart Sniffing/Fox News Watching/Red State Living/"More Dumber" part of America...

Joe, an averagely intelligent guy in our time is propelled into the future in suspended animation (ala Sleeper, or Buck Rogers), learns that the world has been overrun by morons and there are no longer any intelligent people in the world. Of course, the morons believe everything they are told in ads on television and the world is run by corporations.

I don't want to give any of the specific jokes away...just trust that as our friend lucindalunacy said: "everything that is our pet peeve about society was spotlighted and mocked"

Mike Judge once again pokes fun at these dumbasses (as he did in "Beavis and Butthead"). This time, I have a feeling they might FINALLY realize that he has contempt for them (and not rally behind the moron characters because they reflect their own life the way "B&B" did).

Run out to your local video store and grab it NOW (it just was released on video yesterday). Usually, January is the dumping ground for all things shiteous. This time, it's just being released now because the studio has been going out of it's way to bury it (before the people in middle America realize they are the butt of the jokes).
