You infuriate me, too.
Apparently, that feeling is mutual.
Yes, I do a LOT of rushing around normally on my Disney trips. But, I'm used to banging everything out and having the rest of the time to soak up atmosphere, take my time shopping, watching fireworks, parades and shows without pain in my feet or other parts of my body.
As far as the rushing in the airport, yes, I want to get in to the gate to wait, 'cause I tend to get very nervous in airports. Nervous that I'm not going to make my flight (I could arrive 8 hours early and still feel the same way. The way they treat us post-9/11 doesn't make matters any easier). Maybe had Paul been there with me I wouldn't have felt so anxious all the time. I've done whole trips with him where he's had to make me SLOOOOOWWW DOWN.
I'm also used to getting rest in the middle of the day. We usually take about two hours off in the middle of the day. I understand that was not an option this time. But, it didn't help me to be less cranky, 'cause by the last two days, I was in almost constant pain in my back and feet (made worse in my feet by the alcohol consumption on Wednesday...don't know what it is about alcohol, but it always makes my feet hurt the next day).
I hope you understand that it's nothing personal. It's just the way I experienced/remembered that vacation. Your mileage may vary.
Be mad at me. Yell at me. But, give me a big hug when it's all over.
