Pushing Daisies - Make This Stuff Up

2006 Week 2 - Movie 2 - Wedding Crashers (2005)

Alright, I started this one today at work and watched about another half hour or so at home...so, I watched about half of this one.

I don't see myself ever caring to finish it. I've already deleted the file.

It's dumb. Not funny. I didn't laugh once.

Could someone please explain to me what the appeal of this movie is to the mass audiences who are scarfing it up left and right at the store?
Pushing Daisies - Make This Stuff Up

2006 Week 2 - Movie 3 - Shaolin Invincibles (1977)

Now, as opposed to "Wedding Crashers", I'm already finding myself laughing out loud at this one. Big hearty laughs.

The movie itself is laughably bad (you've got to see the flea-bitten gorilla costumes), but the cheesy sound effects and over the top voice acting are even better (or worse as the case may be).

It's available for free download at: The Cult of UHF (a video podcast that features public domain shorts and features). In fact, they recently featured the classic film "Reefer Madness" and that is still available from their website, so grab it while you can.

"Shaolin Invincibles" may also be one worth hunting down on disc to watch with a group of friends!
