I managed to get it in only about an hour 'cause there were so many seeders on the torrent.
The cinematography was beautiful. Pretty scenery.
The story however...ugh. The characters got on my nerves. Jack (Jake's character) should have just up and moved to Greenwich Village or San Francisco...he would have been happier. Ennis (Heath's character) should have stopped seeing Jack and just gotten on with pretending he liked pussy...he was happier being unhappy anyway.
Did it ever occur to Jack and Ennis that they were fired by the sheep herder guy (Randy Quaid) because they were terrible at their jobs and not 'cause they were fucking (though that couldn't help)?
What the fuck was up with Anne Hathaway's hair?
What was up with Michelle Williams wimpy character...why wait SO LONG to confront your husband (who was now your ex-husband anyway so why are you confronting him when it's a moot point and you're already married to somebody else anyway, you dumb cunt) about his lover and never mention that you saw them kissing passionately the first time you met the guy!? Why did she even stay with him as long as she DID after that?
I just wanted to yell "SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT!" at the screen most of the film...I'm glad I didn't see this one in the theatre. I stopped it a few times and went on to other stuff before finally finishing it throughout this week. I don't think I would have been able to sit still with no other distractions in the theatre.
Thumbs down. Ignore the hype (or maybe, pay attention to the hype...there was hype for Forrest Gump too!). Of course, because I thought it was boring...you know what that means? Oscar!!!!
