TV Captioning spelling mistake...

It's a sad thing when the closed-captioning "provided by MTV" on "Reno 911" misspells the name of a musical artist.

On the most recent episode, a character referred to singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco.

The CC spelled it as: Anita Franco

Huh? How does that happen? I know there isn't really a script for that show, since it's mostly ad-libbed, but shouldn't someone check back through this stuff to make sure that it's correct? I know that closed-captioning can be filled with typos when the show is running live (news, awards shows, etc.), but when a show is pre-taped, there is no excuse for this!

At the gym I would watch CNN with CC on and it seemed as though the transcriptionist was wearing mittens.
