Quick Post - Clerks at Netflix Roadshow

First, let me say that I'm kicking myself that I didn't realize that I'd left my signed "Clerks" book behind on the couch until we were forty minutes into our journey (it's been signed by Walt Flanagan, Brian Johnson (Steve-Dave), Jason Mewes AND Kevin Smith)...

...but, though the picture originally looked like it didn't come out ('cause even with the flash, we had the sunset behind us), I adjusted the levels and managed to pull the picture out (even though it's now kind of in black and white at least I can see it)....I did manage a shot with myself, Brian O'Halloran AND Marilyn Ghigliotti (Veronica!):

I also got to meet, since she is the host of the movie tour, Lisa Loeb!

also in attendance at the signing booth: the little girl that Randall sold cigarettes to (or as I would call her, the guy in the red shirt in that one episode of Star Trek who died in the first scene).

I am always so shy when it's someone "famous" that I rarely do this.

Glad you were able to salvage that pic!

first off, i had no idea all those other people were going to be there, what i saw only advertised Lisa and Kevin. THAN, after 2 hours in the car, we were too late to get wrist bands, and all the jerks on the edge of the fence - both in AND out - were either talking loudly, or on friggen cell phones during the whole Kevin q&a before the movie. We couldn't hear more than fragmented answers at best, so we decided to leave. My first time in red bank, so we went to the quick stop and ran into some people who didn't know the whole event moved from the quick stop to the park and were pretty pissed....

over all, i wish brian didn't have to work until 5pm yesterday - it really would have been a great day trip. I AM glad however someone worth something got in {you} and i wonder, did the storm trooper ever fall over from heat exhaustion?

the funny thing is, I never saw the stormtrooper the whole time I was there.

The website did list "cast of the movie", so I just expected it to be Walt Flanagan and Scott Mosier, maybe Jason Mewes...I was ecstatic when I saw Dante and Veronica.

I didn't know who the little girl was (she's all grown up now)...and just thought that the girl who played Caitlin got fat. It wasn't till later that I realized who she was (once the film was running).

I did get to chat briefly with Lisa Loeb, though. I just told her "you are a better person than I am, 'cause I would have slapped Elizabeth Hassellbeck" (she was on the View last week as guest host and the little republican girl just went off on how the morning after pill is abortion and wouldn't hear any other side of the story.). She responded with "I wanted to, but the producers wouldn't let me" and laughed.

the storm trooper was up near the very front on the very side of the stage... i kept trying to get a pic of him, but my camera auto focused to the fence. Oh well.

God Lisa is so beautiful...

and what a crowd at that thing. I'd of loved to gone, then I'd see the crowd and leave. Big huge crowds that I'm part of scare me. Unless I'm performing for them or there's shuffling around like at a comic con, then it's all good.

well, I've written to Netflix to tell them that since they enjoyed Red Bank so much (SO much that they donated $5000 to the city to go towards keeping the parks kept up), that they should plan another film there next year (Chasing Amy being the best fit).

If you come to that, we'll have to meet. If the crowd freaked you out, I'd be happy to hold your hand.
